Retrofit
An underperforming building can cost cities and taxpayers valuable time and resources. That’s why Brazos County officials set out to ensure their facilities operate at peak efficiency—delivering safer, smarter, and more cost-effective environments for their communities.
Over a six-year period, Convergentz, partnered with Brazos County to modernize and optimize key facilities across the region—including the cities of Bryan, College Station, Millican, Kurten, and Wixon Valley.
Using our proven ECOS methodology—ENVISION, CONNECT, OPTIMIZE, and SUSTAIN—we developed and implemented a comprehensive plan to upgrade building systems and centralize operations. The following facilities have been transformed:
– Brazos County Courthouse
– The Brazos Center
– Brazos County Health Department
– Brazos County Administration Building
– Juvenile Detention Center
– Adult Detention Center
These buildings are now connected to a centralized monitoring hub at the county’s maintenance facility, enabling real-time oversight, streamlined operations, and proactive maintenance. The result? Enhanced performance, reduced energy waste, and improved occupant safety.
Key Benefits:
– Early detection and resolution of inefficiencies
– Integrated building communication for predictive energy analysis
– Increased operational visibility and control
– Long-term cost savings through automation and optimization
“The Director of Maintenance, Ernest Stutts, has made it clear that our commitment to customer service hasn’t gone unnoticed,” says Mike Jordan, Project Manager at Convergentz. “Whenever they’ve needed us, we’ve been there—24/7. This project has been a true partnership, and we’re proud of the results we’ve achieved together.”
