Modernizing Campus Building Automation for a Smarter Learning Environment
Convergentz partnered with Texas Southern University to modernize its Building Automation System (BAS), helping create a more comfortable, energy-efficient, and intelligent campus environment.
The project replaced legacy building controls with an advanced automation platform that provides real-time visibility into building performance. Intelligent sensors throughout the facility continuously monitor occupancy, temperature, lighting, and environmental conditions, allowing HVAC and lighting systems to respond automatically as building usage changes.
Project Scope:
– Building Automation System (BAS) modernization
– Intelligent occupancy and environmental sensors
– HVAC and lighting controls integration
– System programming and commissioning
– Campus-wide building controls enhancements
The upgraded BAS gives facility teams greater control over building operations while improving occupant comfort and reducing energy consumption. By leveraging real-time data and intelligent automation, Texas Southern University is better equipped to manage its facilities today while supporting future campus growth.
From higher education campuses to K–12 schools and research facilities, Convergentz delivers smart building solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance occupant comfort, and create sustainable learning environments.
