New Construction
Convergentz played a key role in the new construction of a 9-story medical laboratory facility at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, delivering a fully integrated Building Automation System (BAS) designed for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Scope of Work Included:
Seamless lighting integration and full automation of the expanded chiller plant, cooling towers, and heat exchangers
Installation of:
- 4 tandem Air Handling Units (AHUs) for office spaces
- 6 tandem laboratory AHUs
- 3 radio-isotopic lab exhaust systems
- 1 four-fan lab exhaust system
- 2 stairwell pressurization systems
- 400 fan-powered boxes
- Integration with Siemens Laboratory Hood systems
- Deployment of building power metering and an acid wash down ventilation system
- System controls powered by Honeywell Spyder on JACE platforms with Niagara 4 (N4)
- Web-based access and full integration with the existing campus-wide BAS network
